George Blades

George joined the ALI board in November 2022. He is a keen animal lawyer, with an interest in animal law spanning several years during which he has organised animal welfare awareness and fundraising events.
Outside ALI, George leads the disputes and regulatory investigations team of Insignia Financial, a large financial services company. Previously he spent over a decade working in the disputes and competition law teams of top-tier private practice firms in Australia and abroad.
George studied law at Hokkaido University (LLB) and ANU (JD).
