Rachel Lamb, Animal Law Institute

Rachel is an Assistant Parliamentary Counsel at the Australian Office of Parliamentary Counsel. She is a lawyer with a background in regulation and public policy.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), a Bachelor of Business and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Bond University. She is currently studying a Master of Governance and Public Policy at the University of Queensland.

While Rachel has loved animals her whole life, her passion for animal law began while studying animal law at Bond University. She received a high distinction and was first in class for the subject before going on to work as an animal law legal research assistant for several years.

Rachel then competed in and won the Australia New Zealand Intervarsity Moot on Animal Law (ANIMAL) in 2016, while later volunteering as a judge for ANIMAL in 2018 and 2021. She joined ALI as a volunteer lawyer in March 2020 and ALI’s board in October 2021.
